How long does it take to grow tomatoes?

Cherry tomatoes refer to cherry tomatoes, which have a growth cycle of approximately 110-170 days, but there are also differences between different varieties. For example, the growth cycle of medium-early maturing varieties is about 110-120 days, and that of late-maturing varieties is about 150-170 days.

The growth of cherry tomatoes goes through several stages including germination, seedling, flowering and fruiting. The plant does not have high requirements for planting time and can be planted from August to February of the following year.

The growth process of cherry tomatoes

1. Germination period: From sowing the small tomatoes to planting them, to the growth of the first true leaf, it lasts about 7-9 days.

2. Seedling stage: From the time the first true leaf grows from the small tomato until the flower buds appear, it takes about 50 days in a warm environment and more than 60 days in a cold climate.

3. Flowering and fruiting period: After pollination, the fruits of cherry tomatoes will continue to expand, reaching their maximum weight after 30 days and starting to color after 40 days.

Maintenance and management of cherry tomatoes during the growth period

1. Cherry tomatoes need to be fertilized in time during the seedling stage. You can use copper ammonium chlorate or Green Heng No. 2, about once every 7-10 days.

2. Cherry tomatoes need to be watered in time during the flowering and fruiting period. Generally, watering should be done after the soil is completely dry to avoid root rot and pests and diseases caused by excessive water.
