Dendrobium's growth environment and local conditions

Dendrobium growth environment and conditions

Dendrobium is more suitable for growing in a shady, cool environment. It is generally planted on semi-shady rocks in the mountains. When maintaining it, there must be a good ventilation environment and the temperature should be appropriate, not too low. It is more common in the southwest of Anhui, the eastern part of Zhejiang and Sichuan in my country.

Dendrobium growth conditions

Dendrobium likes to grow in a semi-shady environment and needs to be shielded from sunlight all year round. Secondly, the soil for maintenance generally uses sphagnum moss with good drainage, which is not easy to cause water accumulation.

Dendrobium growth temperature

When Dendrobium is growing, the temperature needs to be kept between 20-30 degrees. During the growth period, the most suitable temperature for it is between 15-20 degrees, and it grows more lushly.

Dendrobium growth process

Dendrobium usually germinates when the temperature reaches 9-15 degrees in February and March. It needs a suitable temperature environment during maintenance. May and June are its flowering period. After the end of the flowering period, it needs to be watered and fertilized in time. When it is maintained to August-September, it is the fruit ripening period. It needs appropriate light during the maintenance period.

Dendrobium planting time and method

Dendrobium is usually planted in spring and autumn. Before planting, the seeds need to be soaked in warm water for 3 hours, then placed on the culture soil in the greenhouse for 3-4 days, keeping the temperature at around 20 degrees. It will germinate in about 4-5 days, and then it can be planted. Fertilizer and water management should be done well at ordinary times.
