Orchid planting conditions and growth environment requirements

Orchid Growing Conditions

When planting orchids, they are generally planted in a shady, ventilated, water-free environment, and loose, breathable, and well-drained soil should be used, so that they can grow well. They should have sufficient sunlight at ordinary times, but avoid direct strong light, otherwise it will affect their growth.

Orchid Growing Climate

When orchids are taking root, sprouting and growing normally, the temperature needs to be kept between 20-28 degrees. If it is lower than 20 degrees, its growth will be slow.

Orchid growing area

Orchids generally grow in subtropical forest areas in moist valleys, dense forests, shrubs and weeds or jungles in the south. In my country, they are mainly distributed in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hubei and other places.

Orchid planting time

Orchids are generally planted in the autumn of each year, while spring orchids bloom in the spring, usually at the end of April. After flowering, they need to be replenished with nutrients in time. Leaf buds will differentiate in the summer and continue until after autumn.

Benefits of orchid cultivation

The profit from orchid cultivation is quite good. Generally, a plantation requires an investment of about one million yuan. There are about eight varieties planted, with a total of about 600,000 pots. After selling them, if it is the peak season, the total income can reach 2.5 million yuan.

Orchid Planting Tips

When planting orchids, they need a suitable growth environment. The temperature should be kept at around 20 degrees, and the planting soil should be loose and fertile loam, which is more conducive to growth and development. During the maintenance period, there should be sufficient sunlight, and watering and fertilizing should be carried out in time.
