Hainan is rich in fruits such as jackfruit, dragon fruit, ginseng fruit, wax apple, carambola, guava, betel nut, rambutan, mango and coconut. The most common ones are banana, pineapple, jackfruit, sugar apple and guava.

Fruits suitable for planting in Hainan

Hainan has a tropical monsoon climate with long summers and no winter, and excellent conditions of light, heat, water, etc., so the plants grow and reproduce quickly. Longan, lychee, banana, olive, bayberry, sour bean, olea europaea, durian, sapodilla, cashew, avocado, guava, sweet apple, jackfruit, mango, mangosteen, citrus, rambutan, etc. can be grown in Hainan.

Carambola prefers warm and humid environment. It grows on roadsides, sparse woods or gardens. It cannot grow in areas with frost and cold damage. It likes light but can also tolerate a certain amount of shade. It is suitable for planting in moist and fertile soil. It is cultivated in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Taiwan, Yunnan and Hainan in China.

4. Durian

Durian is one of the famous tropical fruits. It is grown in Guangdong and Hainan, China. Durian is known as the "king of fruits" and prefers high temperature environments. The average daily temperature of the planting area must be above 22 degrees, and it can be cultivated in frost-free areas.
