Introduction to watering cucumbers

Cucumbers like warmth, water and fertilizer, but high temperatures can easily cause them to get sick, waterlogging can easily kill the seedlings, and too much fertilizer can easily burn the roots, so the principle of watering cucumbers is to water them frequently with small amounts of water.

When the cucumber field is dry and the ground is dry about 2 cm, you need to water it, but don't water it too much, just water half of the cucumber ridge. If you don't water it all the time, and wait until it's particularly dry to water it, the cucumber flowers and fruits will fall off easily.

Cucumber watering time and frequency

For the newly planted cucumber seedlings, we water them sufficiently for the first rooting, but the amount of watering thereafter will be determined based on the moisture content of the soil at that time.

Watering in spring: Watering in spring should be done every 2-3 days and can be done at any time of the day.

Watering in summer: You can water every day in summer, but avoid watering at noon.

Watering in autumn: Watering in autumn should be done every 3-5 days and can be done at any time of the day.

Watering in winter: Watering in winter can be done once a week or ten days or so, and should be done during the warmer noon.

How to water cucumbers

In the seedling stage, the seedlings are generally squatted and watering is controlled to prevent the seedlings from overgrowing due to excessive water. After planting, be sure to water them enough and thoroughly, and do not water them before the melons are seated.

When the soil is too moist, the plants cannot breathe normally and are prone to various diseases. When the soil is particularly dry, you can use drip irrigation to water the plants, or if there are no drip irrigation conditions, you can water them until the root melon is stable.
