Can green radish be hydroponically cultivated? Hydroponics methods and precautions

Can green radish be grown hydroponically?

Green ivy can be grown directly in water. Hydroponics and soil cultivation each have their own advantages, and you can choose according to your preference. The hydroponic method is clean and hygienic at home and easy to manage, while soil cultivation allows the green ivy to absorb enough nutrients, making the leaves greener and growing faster.

Methods and key points of hydroponic cultivation of green radish

1. First, you need to select healthy branches and stems. Be careful that the branches and stems put into the water cannot have leaves, otherwise the leaves in the water will affect the quality of the water. Rinse the soil at the roots, cut off the useless rotten roots, and then put them in a container filled with clean water, and they will survive easily.

2. Before hydroponics, be sure to change the water. It is best to change the water every two or three days, and then change the water again after the roots grow. Then add nutrient solution about every ten days to make the leaves look more shiny.

3. The roots of hydroponic green radish should be cleaned and pruned regularly. If the roots are too long, they should be cut short in time to avoid nutrient loss. If rot occurs, the rotten roots should be pruned in time, and then soaked in some potassium permanganate solution, disinfected, and then resumed cultivation.

Precautions for growing green radish in water

1. The entire plant of the green radish can be grown in water, and generally new roots will grow in about 15-20 days. If its branches and leaves droop, you can use a bracket or wall-mounted container to grow it in water.

2. When the climate is dry, you can spray water on the leaves of the green radish to increase the air humidity and facilitate the growth of aerial roots. You can often trim the overly long branches of the green radish and cut off all the leaves that seem to affect the appearance, which will be beneficial for viewing.
