3. Soil management

The moisture content in the soil should be around 60%. If the weather is too hot, watering should be carried out. Watering should be carried out in time when the weather is dry. If it is rainy, drainage should be carried out in time to avoid root rot caused by excessive water.

Corn ripe for harvest

The time it takes for corn to grow and mature varies in different regions. In the summer-sown areas of the Huanghuai and Haihe River Basins, its growing period is more than 90 days, while in the spring-sown areas of the Northeast, its growing period is more than 150 days. Corn is usually harvested in autumn each year, specifically from September to October.
