Can the small hibiscus be repotted in summer?

The hibiscus cannot be repotted in summer. The best time to repot it is in spring or autumn. The temperature in these two seasons is relatively warm, which allows the hibiscus to adapt to the new pot and soil quickly after repotting, thereby resuming its growth.

How to repot small hibiscus

Before repotting the hibiscus, you need to start controlling its water three days in advance. This way, you can easily take it out of the original pot when repotting, and it will not easily damage its root system. On the day of repotting, cut off the black rot on the roots of the hibiscus. After pruning, place it in a ventilated place to dry the cut, and treat the wound with disinfectant to prevent infection.

Things to note when repotting Hibiscus truncatum

1. When changing the small hibiscus, use the prepared flower soil as the new culture soil, put them into the flowerpot, and then put the roots of the small hibiscus into the new flowerpot. Then, compact the soil surface with your hands and water it thoroughly. This will help the roots to take root.

2. After repotting the hibiscus, move it to a sunny and warm environment to acclimate. During the acclimatization period, reduce the amount of watering and stop fertilizing. After 7-10 days, it will adapt to the new pot and can be maintained normally.
