How to plant roses to make them survive easily? Use potted plant maintenance tips to make them grow fast

Rose is a flower with relatively high ornamental value. Most families plant it. Pay attention to choosing the right time when planting roses. Generally, it is planted in spring and autumn. At this time, the plant growth is better and the survival rate is relatively higher. It can bloom in May and June.

Rose planting method

1. Select the seed

Choose plump, healthy, disease-free mature seeds. Do not use shriveled or damaged seeds. Then soak the seeds in sodium chloride solution for about 3-5 minutes, take them out and place them in a ventilated place to dry.

2. Seed germination

Soak the dried seeds in 40-degree water for 4-6 hours. When the water gets cold, continue to add warm water to keep the water temperature at around 40 degrees. Then place the seeds in moist sand and keep the sand moist. The seeds will germinate in about 30 days.

3. What soil to use

Roses like fertile, loose, slightly acidic soil. When growing them, you need to prepare a breathable flowerpot. The soil can be nutrient soil purchased from the market, or you can mix garden soil, leaf mold, and fine sand in a ratio of 5:3:2 to make flower soil.

4. Planting

Plant the germinated seedlings into the soil at a depth of about 4 to 5 cm. Water them thoroughly after planting and place them in a well-lit place for maintenance. After planting, keep the soil moist, but do not allow water to accumulate in the pot. Generally, seedlings will emerge in about two weeks.

Points to note when planting roses

1. Light: Roses prefer a growing environment with plenty of sunlight. When cultivating, they need to be placed on a well-lit windowsill or balcony, and at least 4 hours of light per day should be guaranteed. In summer, if the light is too strong, shade should be provided and they should be placed in a semi-shaded and ventilated place for cultivation.

2. Watering: Roses are drought-resistant and afraid of waterlogging. When cultivating, you need to follow the principle of "watering when dry and watering when wet". Pay attention to timely drainage. There should be no water accumulation in the pot. When watering in summer, you need to avoid the high temperature at noon and choose to water in the morning or evening. Water once a day and keep the soil in the pot moist during the growing period.
