What vegetables are suitable for growing in summer? What vegetables are best to grow in summer?

June is the hottest time of the year. People often worry that the temperature is too high and vegetables are not easy to survive. It is recommended to choose disease-resistant, heat-resistant and high-yielding varieties. Although there are many greenhouse vegetables now, there are still many that can be planted outdoors. In June, you can plant lettuce, cucumber, leek, Chinese cabbage, radish, kale, rapeseed, amaranth, cowpea, edamame, bitter melon, onion, celery, cauliflower, etc.

1. Celery

According to the growth characteristics of celery, autumn celery is generally planted in a larger area. Summer celery is sown in June and harvested and put on the market in August-September. Therefore, summer celery can be planted after the Great Heat according to the local climate characteristics.

2. Water spinach

In northern regions, water spinach can be planted from June to August. It can also be safely planted during the Great Heat season because water spinach is a vegetable that is not cold-resistant. When the temperature is below 15 degrees, it is not suitable for growth. It is not very demanding on the soil and can grow in ordinary soil.

3. Amaranth

Amaranth has strong adaptability and is relatively easy to grow. However, due to the different characteristics of the varieties, different varieties should be selected at different planting times. If you plan to plant amaranth in June, it is recommended to choose white rice amaranth, willow leaf amaranth, red amaranth and other varieties, which are relatively resistant to high temperatures and easy to survive.

4. Spinach

Spinach can be planted all year round. It is not afraid of severe cold and can grow over the winter. In summer, it can be planted in June. You can choose to sow it directly or in rows. Spinach can be planted after the Great Heat and can be harvested in 30-40 days, which is related to the variety.

5. Coriander

Coriander can be planted in spring, summer and autumn. It can be sown after the Great Heat in Northeast China. The planting of coriander is relatively simple. It is generally sown by broadcasting. Watering is done irregularly after the seedlings emerge. Coriander is a controversial vegetable. Some people like it and some don't.
