The whole process of bamboo planting

1. Select varieties : When planting bamboo, you need to select varieties. Generally, you should choose healthy bamboo that is two to three years old, free of pests and diseases, and has vigorous growth. Bamboo that is yellowish in color or too dark in color with brown and black spots is mostly old bamboo and is not suitable for planting. When digging for planting bamboo, you need to leave enough space for the bamboo rhizomes. Do not shake the bamboo violently during the digging process. It is best to dig it out together with the bamboo roots, bamboo rhizomes, and soil.

2. Digging a hole : Choose a good planting site and dig a rectangular hole slightly larger than the length of the bamboo rhizome. Bamboo is a shallow-rooted plant, so there is no need to dig deep. A depth of 30 centimeters is enough. Backfill with about 10 centimeters of topsoil.

3. Planting : Then put the bamboo, fill in the loose soil and tamp it down with your feet. Do not hit the bamboo roots violently during the process to prevent damage to the connection between the bamboo roots and the bamboo whips. After planting, fix the bamboo to prevent wind or people and animals from shaking the bamboo, which will affect the growth of the bamboo root system. Water it thoroughly once.
