When is the best season to plant tomatoes? Planting time and season

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients and have a special flavor. Whether you grow them in your own greenhouse, vegetable garden, or on the edge of a field in the countryside, or on your own terrace or balcony in the city, you can plant a few tomatoes yourself and eat fresh tomatoes and experience the joy of planting during the growth process.

Tomato Planting Season

The time for planting tomatoes should be determined based on comprehensive consideration of factors such as planting season, climatic conditions, cultivation methods, and seedling facilities to determine the appropriate sowing period.

Tomatoes are generally planted from January to March and from July to August . Spring open field cultivation is usually sown from mid-February to early March. Greenhouse tomatoes are mainly determined by the harvest time. Spring crops are planted from March to April, and autumn tomatoes are planted from August to September.

Tomato planting process

If you want to grow delicious tomatoes, you need to pay attention to the treatment of seeds. Generally, choose mature, plump seeds without wounds for planting, seal the seeds and ferment them at room temperature for two to four days to increase the germination rate of the seeds, wash them with clean water once and soak them in warm water for six hours to increase the survival rate of tomatoes.

Before planting, you need to mix organic fertilizer with the soil evenly, and sprinkle the softened seeds evenly on the soil, but be careful not to be too dense. This is not conducive to seed germination. Then cover the seeds with fine soil and water them. It is recommended to use a spray method. Just keep the soil moist.
