How to grow lipstick succulent

1. Lighting

When growing lipstick, place it in a sunny place and receive light all day. It is a long-day plant, and when the ultraviolet rays in the summer are strong, you can use a shade net to provide proper shade. In other seasons, you can grow it outdoors in a sunny place.

2. Moisture

Lipstick is drought-resistant. When watering, you need to wait until the soil is completely dry before watering . Watering should be done all at once. Avoid water accumulation, otherwise the roots will easily rot, seriously affecting the growth of the plant and even causing it to wither. During the dormant period, water should be controlled appropriately, and watering should not be done for a short period of time.

3. Fertilization

The succulent lipstick plant likes fertilizer. When cultivating it, you can apply some phosphorus fertilizer before flowering , but the concentration should not be too high. This can promote the growth of leaves and flowering.

Lipstick succulent maintenance precautions

When caring for lipstick succulents, you should pay attention to ventilation . Due to the hot and humid weather, lipstick succulents are prone to black rot and waterlogging. At this time, you need to strengthen ventilation to allow the roots to breathe better, and avoid waterlogging in the pot soil to make the plant grow better.
