Monstera has very special leaves that look like the back shell of a turtle. It is a tropical plant that likes to grow in a warm environment.

Water less

After late autumn, the temperature begins to drop, and the frequency of watering the Monstera should be reduced appropriately. Occasionally, just use a spray bottle to spray some water mist to keep the leaves moist.

If you are growing soil, try to keep it slightly dry. Wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry and then choose a warm day to water it lightly.

Indoor farming

When the weather gets cold, you need to place the Monstera indoors and keep the temperature above 10°C. If the temperature is below 5°C, the plant is prone to frostbite.

In the cold winter, if it is particularly cold at night, you can put a bag over the Monstera potted plant to keep it warm , and take it off the next day, but be careful not to place it in a cold vent.

Although Monstera prefers a semi-shaded environment, you can still place it in a bright place in winter, which can have a certain warming effect.

Stop using fertilizer
