How to fertilize Black Mage

How to fertilize Black Mage

Influencing factors

Fertilization is only necessary when the soil is insufficient in supplying a certain nutrient. It is not necessary to apply all necessary elements to the soil, otherwise the nutrient process will cause waste or even poisoning.

The plant's own demand for nutrients: Black Magic has different demands for nutrients at different times. For example, when just repotting, the content of nitrogen fertilizer can be increased, and when flowering, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers can be appropriately added. Only by applying fertilizers at the right time can the succulents grow well.

What fertilizer to apply

When fertilizing the Black Magic Plant, avoid using too much fertilizer and rather use less rather than too much. There are many special fertilizers for succulents on the market, as well as some specific trace element fertilizers. You can choose suitable fertilizers according to your needs. But try not to use chemical fertilizers at home.

Fertilization method

During the seedling stage of Black Magic, the nitrogen fertilizer content can be appropriately increased in the base fertilizer when repotting to promote the growth of the plant. However, as the plant grows taller and its basic shape is determined, the nitrogen fertilizer content should be appropriately reduced to prevent the branches and leaves from growing too fast and causing excessive growth.

Black Magic will bloom if properly cared for. After flowering, nutrients should be replenished in time and phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be applied to avoid excessive nutrient consumption and affect growth after the flowers fade.

Black Magic will stop growing due to the high temperature in summer. It should be protected from rain, and provided with a little shade. Watering should be restrained and no fertilizer should be applied.
