Not all plants need ferrous sulfate. Ferrous sulfate is mainly used for southern foliage plants when they are planted in the north to change the soil pH and increase the iron content in the soil.

For example, ferrous sulfate can be used for cycads, azaleas, camellias, daphne, spider plants, poinsettias, jasmines, gardenias and other foliage plants .

1. Irrigation

Generally speaking, the purity of ferrous sulfate sold on the market is about 95% regardless of the size of the package. The general dilution concentration for irrigation is about 1:1000, that is, 1 gram of ferrous sulfate to 1000 ml of water.

The most common way to apply ferrous sulfate is to mix it into an aqueous solution and then water the flowers. The plants will absorb nutrients directly from the soil and improve the pH of the soil.
