How often should I water my money tree? What is the correct way to water it?

How often should you water your money tree?

The money tree likes moisture, so it needs to be watered frequently during maintenance. Once every two or three days in spring, once a day in summer, and two or three times a week in autumn. In winter, when the temperature is low, water must be strictly controlled, and it only needs to be watered once every ten days or half a month.

If the plant is newly potted, water it thoroughly as soon as possible to help it recover. If it is newly bought and cannot adapt to the new environment, don't rush to water it. Wait for a week before watering it thoroughly. Water the roots, don't water from the beginning. Also, be careful not to accumulate water and avoid rain in the rainy season.

How to water the money tree

In the same pot of money tree in an environment with high humidity and low temperature, the moisture in the soil will decrease relatively slowly. There will also be differences indoors and outdoors in the same period of time. Indoors, you can water less, so testing the soil by hand is the most effective way to water.

When watering the money tree, if you see the surface of the soil turn white, it means it is time to water. If it feels damp, it means it is still very wet. If you do not water it, it will easily cause the roots to rot and die. This way it is easy to judge the time to water and not cause root rot.

Overwatering the Money Tree

The most obvious symptoms of overwatering the money tree are root rot, insects in the soil, and yellowing or even falling leaves. If it is not treated and saved in time, it is more likely to directly lead to the death of the plant.

After the money tree has been watered too much, first dig it out of the pot and check the roots. If they are rotten, put them in the sand to drain the water. Do not water it, just spray water around it and wait for the roots to return to normal before taking it out.
