Where does osmanthus grow?

Osmanthus is a woody plant with a full tree shape, lush branches and leaves, and a beautiful shape. It blooms in large numbers. The bark is rough, generally gray-brown, and lenticels often appear on the bark. The flowers are usually white, yellow or red, and the fruits are generally purple-black and oval in shape.

Where does osmanthus grow?

Osmanthus mainly grows in China, Cambodia, India, India and Nepal. It likes places with plenty of sunshine and has relatively high temperature requirements. The average annual temperature needs to be 18-28℃ and the annual precipitation needs to be around 1000 ml.

Osmanthus flowers grow on osmanthus trees. Placing osmanthus trees on both sides of the road can play a role in greening and purifying the air. Osmanthus flowers can be eaten and made into pastries and scented tea. They also have their own medicinal value.

Osmanthus grows in warm and humid places. It has high requirements for temperature. Usually the average temperature of the breeding ground should be controlled between 14 and 18 degrees, the summer temperature should be between 25-28 degrees, the average winter temperature should be above 0 degrees, and the annual average humidity should be controlled between 75-85%.

Osmanthus does not have high requirements for soil. Usually, as long as a certain humidity and drainage are maintained, osmanthus can grow normally. It would be best if a relatively sticky and heavy soil environment could be provided, but waterlogging should not occur.

Origin of Osmanthus

Cassia trees are more common in the southwest of my country, such as the southwest, Sichuan, southern Shaanxi, Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Anhui, Henan and other places. In addition to my country, they are also found in India, Nepal, Cambodia and other places.
