Why does lucky bamboo turn yellow?

1. Lack of water

Reason: If the plant is not watered for a long time during the cultivation period, it will be in a state of water shortage. The roots cannot normally transport water to the leaves. The leaves cannot absorb water and will turn yellow over time.

Solution: You should water the soil in the pot in time to create a slightly moist growing condition for it. Water it thoroughly each time to ensure sufficient moisture.

2. Unsuitable light exposure

Reason: The plant is not suitable for growing in places that are too dark or have strong light. If the maintenance location is not suitable and the plant is allowed to grow under strong light, the leaves will turn yellow and fall off. On the contrary, if the growing environment does not see sunlight for a long time, the leaves cannot form melanin and will turn yellow.

Solution: If it is caused by lack of light, move to a place with good light. If it is caused by strong light, it needs to be moved to a cool place for maintenance for a period of time.

3. Lack of nutrients

Reason: If no fertilizer is applied for a long time during the cultivation period, the new and old leaves of the plant will turn yellow due to lack of nutrients.

Solution: Fertilizer should be supplemented appropriately. Do not go without fertilizer for a long time. Fertilizer should be applied frequently in small amounts. You can apply more nitrogen fertilizer appropriately.
