The breeding methods and precautions of Jinhuangxing

The breeding methods and precautions of Jinhuangxing

1. Soil

It likes to grow in a semi-shaded and slightly dry soil environment, so during the cultivation period, the soil should be well drained and breathable. It is best to lay a layer of gravel on the bottom before potting to facilitate ventilation.

2. Lighting

The brocade star likes light, but only in diffuse light. During maintenance, it should be placed under diffuse light for about five hours every day, so that the leaves will be more beautiful and shiny. In addition, be sure to pay attention to strong light, especially in summer, the plants can easily be sunburned.

3. Temperature

It likes a warm environment, and the best temperature during maintenance is between 17 and 23 degrees. When the temperature exceeds 35 degrees in summer, be sure to move it indoors and cool it down. The temperature cannot be below 5 degrees in winter, otherwise it will be frostbitten, which is not conducive to growth.

4. Water and Fertilizer

It prefers a dry environment and does not require much water or fertilizer. During the maintenance period, it is enough to water the plant once a week. Do not add a lot of water even in the high temperatures in summer to avoid water accumulation and root rot. In winter, watering once a month is enough to reduce the possibility of frostbite. In addition, generally no fertilizer is required during maintenance, and poor soil is very suitable for growth.

5. Notes

In addition to paying attention to the methods during maintenance, you should also pay attention to loosening the soil every year. When loosening the soil, dig out the plants, cut off the old roots and rotten roots, and remove the lumps of soil. This will allow the plants to grow more vigorously and their ornamental value will be improved.
