How to grow carnations during their flowering period

How to grow carnations during their flowering period

1. Lighting

It likes to grow in an environment with good sunlight and can be exposed to more sunlight. Do not place it in a dark environment for a long time to avoid affecting its normal growth. Pay attention to shading in the summer and avoid direct exposure to the sun, otherwise it will easily wilt and fail to grow normally.

2. Temperature

During its flowering period, the temperature should be controlled at around 20℃. The most suitable temperature for it is usually between 14-21℃. It is best not to let the temperature drop below 14℃ or rise above 27℃, otherwise it will affect its normal growth.

3. Watering

It likes relatively moist soil, which is more conducive to its growth. But be careful to water in moderation, avoid waterlogging, and pay attention to water control and not overwater.

4. Fertilization

You can give it appropriate base fertilizer when choosing the soil, which will be more conducive to its growth. You can apply fertilizers containing phosphorus and potassium. Usually you can apply flower fertilizer once a week or 10 days. Be careful not to burn the leaves, you can use diluted fertilizer water.

5. Soil

It prefers fertile soil, and breathable flower soil will be more suitable for cultivation. A humus soil containing a lot of rotten leaves is suitable. This kind of flower soil can better help it absorb nutrients and grow better.
