Why are the leaves of the crabapple tree drying up?

Why are the leaves of the crabapple tree drying up?

1. Lack of light

Reason: Begonia needs sufficient light to grow. A dark environment will cause it to grow poorly and its leaves to dry out.

Solution: Place the crabapple in a sunny place and ensure long-term sunlight. Moreover, it is not afraid of the sun and can withstand strong light. However, do not expose the plant to direct sunlight during the seedling stage and disease stage.

2. Poor air circulation

Reason: Placing the crabapple in a place with poor air circulation for a long time will inhibit its respiration. Low air quality can also easily lead to bacterial infections.

Solution: Place the crabapple in a place with good air circulation. When growing indoors, you can open windows for ventilation, but when the temperature is low, you need to provide adequate warmth to prevent the plants from being frozen by cold air.

3. Too little watering

Reason: Begonia has high requirements for water and cannot tolerate waterlogging or drought. Long-term lack of water can easily cause the leaves to dry out.

Solution: If the soil is dry, water it immediately. It is best to keep the soil slightly moist. You can also increase the air humidity by sprinkling water to slow down the evaporation of water from the leaves.

4. Insufficient Fertilization

Reason: Begonias need nutrients to grow. If too little fertilizer is applied, their growth and development will be affected, causing the leaves to dry up.

Solution: When adding fertilizer to the crabapple, do not apply too much at one time, otherwise it will damage the tall roots. In spring and autumn, fertilize 3-4 times a month, and reduce or stop fertilizing in summer and winter.
