Winter maintenance of rubber tree potted plants

1. Temperature

When raising rubber trees in winter, they should be kept indoors and the indoor temperature should be adjusted to around 10°C, which is a temperature that is conducive to their wintering. If the temperature does not reach the range for safe wintering, you must pay attention to keeping it warm. You can put it in a plastic bag to keep it warm. The minimum temperature must not be lower than 5℃.

2. Lighting

It likes the sun, especially in winter when the temperature is low and the light is soft, it should be exposed to the sun as much as possible. It needs at least 4-5 hours of sunlight every day. If the light received every day is not enough, you need to use a fill light to supplement the light.

3. Ventilation

Although the temperature is relatively low in winter, don't forget to ventilate. Generally, the ventilation is very poor when maintaining indoors, so you should open the windows frequently. However, it cannot be blown directly by cold wind, otherwise it will be detrimental to the plant's wintering.

4. Water

At this time, water evaporates very slowly, so the amount of watering must be controlled. Too much water will not only affect the winter, but also cause root rot. Watering must be done after the soil becomes dry, and the water temperature should not be too low. It is best to leave it for a while and wait until the water temperature is similar to the room temperature before watering.
