What to do if Dendrobium does not bloom

What to do if Dendrobium does not bloom

1. Increase air humidity

1. Reason: Dendrobium has very high requirements for air humidity during its growth. If the air humidity is too low, it will not be able to meet its demand for water. At this time, it will hinder its growth and may even not bloom.

2. Solution: When Dendrobium is growing, it must be given sufficient air humidity, usually 80% is best. You can also use a sprayer to spray water on its leaves regularly to maintain a high air humidity.

2. Reduce light

1. Reason: Dendrobium cannot be exposed to strong light, otherwise it will easily burn the plant and affect its flowering.

2. Solution: When raising it, if the light is too strong, you need to give it appropriate shade. Just let it see some scattered light, or no light. This will allow it to grow better and strive to bloom more flowers soon.

3. Increase fertilizer

1. Reason: It requires a large amount of fertilizer, especially during the flowering period from April to May. If it is not supplemented with appropriate phosphorus and potassium fertilizers at this time, it will affect the differentiation of flower buds, thereby affecting its normal flowering.

2. Solution: Its flowering period is from April to May every year. If you want it to bloom more flowers at this time, you need to apply some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to it in the spring. This will allow the flower buds to form faster and the flowers will be brighter and more numerous. In addition, after the flowers bloom, you can also apply a little organic liquid fertilizer to replenish the nutrients consumed by flowering. The best time is 1 to 2 times a month.
