How to plant water lilies

1. Seed selection

There are many varieties of water lilies, and when planting them, you must first choose the right variety. Accept to buy or ask flower lovers for some seeds. The seeds used should be very healthy, and it is best to use undamaged ones. Try to choose spring for planting, with March to April being the best time.

2. Processing

After selecting the seeds to be planted, use a knife or grind the relatively concave side on the ground to open the seeds. Then prepare a basin of clean water, place the cracked seeds in the water, and wait for them to germinate. Generally, some seeds will germinate in about 3 days, while others may take a week.

3. Choose a pot

During the germination period, you can prepare the containers to be used. The specific size should be selected according to the variety to be planted. If you are planting small varieties, the flower pot should be relatively large. If you are planting mini varieties, you can use small flower pots.

4. Transplantation

When the water lily seeds germinate, just transplant them into the prepared flower pots. Do not transplant too many plants into one pot, because as they continue to grow, the space will become smaller and the container will become crowded with respect to the water lily, which is very unfavorable for its growth.
