Mint winter cutting method

Mint winter cutting method

1. Temperature guarantee

The best time to do cuttings is between spring and summer, when the temperature is relatively high and the humidity is relatively high. This is just the right time to do cuttings, which is conducive to later rooting and growth. It is also possible to do it in winter, but the surrounding temperature must be ensured. There will not be too many problems in a room with heating, and the temperature can be maintained at 15-20℃.

2. Cuttings

Cut strong branches about 10 cm in length from plants with good growth. It is best to keep 4-5 leaves on them, and it would be even better if there is a small root at the bottom. It should be noted that the branch at the top cannot be used for cuttings.

3. Prepare the soil

The flowerpot does not need to be too big. The most important thing about the material is that it is breathable and has good drainage. The soil in the pot should be permeable and contain a lot of nutrients, which can ensure the possibility of rooting.

4. Take cuttings

Spray enough water into the potting soil to keep it moist, which is conducive to its survival and growth in the later stage. Insert the branches into it, not too deep. Pay attention to moisturizing in the later stage. If you do a good job of maintenance, it will take root soon.
