Cultivation methods and precautions of golden sedge

Golden Sedum is very easy to grow. It is a succulent plant in the Crassulaceae family. Although its leaves are relatively small and the overall shape of the plant does not look very beautiful, it is quite beautiful as long as it is properly maintained.

How to grow golden sedge

1. Soil

When growing golden spathiphyllum, you need to use relatively breathable sandy soil. You can mix sandy soil, garden soil, and leaf mold in a ratio of 3:1:2. The soil prepared in this way has better air permeability and drainage, which can make the golden spathiphyllum grow better.

2. Light and temperature

To cultivate golden spathiphyllum, there must be sufficient sunlight, and the daily lighting time must not be less than 6 hours. At the same time, golden spathiphyllum can grow normally in the range of 5-35 degrees. If the temperature exceeds 35 degrees, it is necessary to provide shade and ensure ventilation.

3. Water and fertilizer

Golden Spartina likes water but is afraid of waterlogging. Too much water will cause root rot and affect the growth of the whole plant. Golden Spartina mainly requires compound fertilizer, and phosphorus and potassium fertilizers need to be applied after the dormant period.

Precautions for the maintenance of golden sedge

When caring for golden spathiphyllum, you should pay attention to its overly lush branches and leaves, which will affect the ventilation between plants. Therefore, when caring for it, you need to cut off the branches and leaves that grow too densely to maintain air circulation. You can also cut off the branches and leaves that are affected by diseases and insect pests to allow the golden spathiphyllum to grow healthily.
