How to care for orchids after replanting with empty roots

How to care for orchids after replanting with empty roots

1. Maintenance after replanting

1. Water: After replanting orchids, it is necessary to replenish water in time. The soil should not be too lacking in water, but it is acceptable to be a little dry. Generally, watering is not required unless the soil is dry, but there should be no accumulation of water.

2. Light: After replanting, it needs to be placed in a cool place. Do not let it see the sun at the beginning. If it is exposed to light immediately, it will be beneficial to the growth of orchids. In addition, the maintenance environment must have good ventilation, and if it is grown indoors, the windows should be opened more often.

3. Nutrients: It is best to supplement some nutrients appropriately during the maintenance period. You can spray some dihydrogen phosphate on the leaves of the plant from time to time. However, do not apply fertilizer with too high a concentration, because the roots of the plant are not in a normal state yet, and not only will they be unable to absorb it but it will also increase the burden on them.

2. Precautions

When choosing potting soil, it must have good air permeability and the soil must be kept slightly moist. If it rains, you should move it to a place where it will not be exposed to rain in time to prevent the rainwater from being unable to drain away and causing root rot.
