How to disinfect soil with rotten roots

1. Sun exposure disinfection

Although the soil with root rot contains pathogens, it can still be used after treatment. You can use exposure to the sun for disinfection, which is also easy to do at home. Choose noon weather, prepare a plastic film and place it outdoors, pour the soil in the flowerpot onto the plastic film, spread it into a thin layer, and expose it to the sun to achieve the effect of sterilization and disinfection. It needs to be dried in the sun for at least two days, and the soil should be turned over from time to time to ensure thorough disinfection.

2. Mix with carbendazim

This method is also very common. Buy carbendazim from the pharmacy, then take out a certain dose of powder according to the requirements on the instructions, then mix it into the soil and stir it evenly. In order to achieve the effect of thorough sterilization and disinfection, you also need to prepare a slightly larger container, fill it with clean water, put the flower pots in it to soak, so that the efficacy of the medicine can be fully exerted. After processing, place it in the sun to dry.

3. Potassium Permanganate

Dissolve potassium permanganate in water as required to make a disinfectant solution, being careful not to make the concentration too high. After preparation, you can put the soil in and let it soak for about 3-5 hours to penetrate deep into the soil. After soaking, pour out the solution and dry it in the sun.
