How many days is the growing period of cabbage?

The cabbage grows from the inside out, as the outermost leaves of the cabbage will gradually age and fall off, while the inner leaves will gradually grow out and become the outermost leaves.

Cabbage growing season

The growing period of cabbage is about 90-120 days, and the best time to plant cabbage is March to April each year. The temperature and light at this time are more suitable, and the cabbage can grow better after planting. After planting, the cabbage can be harvested around May of this year.

Cabbage growing conditions

1. Lighting:

Cabbage cannot do without light during its growth process. Insufficient light will cause the leaves of the plant to turn yellow and grow slowly. You can provide it with all-day sunshine.

2. Fertilization:

During the growth of cabbage, it is necessary to provide it with decomposed farmyard manure to maintain the growth of the plant. You can also apply mixed fertilizer rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium to make the plant grow more vigorously.

3. Water:

Cabbage has a high demand for water during its growth process, so it needs to be watered with pure water rich in minerals. The water can be directly poured into the soil, and water should be avoided on the leaves to prevent water from accumulating at the roots of the leaves and breeding bacteria.

Cabbage growth management

When managing cabbage during its growth period, start watering at the early stage of the rosette, and apply 10kg of urea with the water, then start controlling the water and stunting the seedlings. During the heading stage, water every 5-7 days and apply fertilizer 2-3 times. In addition, pay attention to the management of diseases and pests.
