Lily's water requirements

Lily's water requirements

1. Watering frequency

1. Spring and Autumn: Lily has a relatively high demand for water and is a water-loving flower. It needs to be watered more frequently to maintain growth. Water it in small amounts when it is first planted. Spring is its growing season and the climate is very suitable at this time. It is necessary to ensure watering. Water it every 3-5 days to maintain a certain humidity in the potting soil. The surrounding temperature in autumn is also very suitable. Watering should not be missed, just keep the soil in the pot slightly moist.

2. Summer: Summer is also the peak growth season, and the temperature is high and the evaporation is very strong. You can water it every 2-3 days. As the temperature gradually rises, the lily will enter a dormant state, during which time its growth will be relatively slow and the soil in the pot must be kept dry.

3. Winter: The temperature in winter is relatively low, and the growth gradually stagnates, and the above-ground parts will wither, so the amount of water required is not much. Water less, and watering once every 7-10 days will meet the growth needs.

2. No water accumulation

Although lilies like water, the more water does not necessarily mean better. Do not water too much at one time. Just make sure the soil is soaked.

3. Change water regularly for hydroponics

In addition to soil cultivation, hydroponics is also a very common method of growing lilies. For hydroponic lilies, you should pay attention to changing the water regularly. In the summer when the temperature is higher, the water needs to be changed every 2-3 days, in the spring and autumn, the water can be changed every 3-5 days, and in the winter, the water needs to be changed every 7 days or so.
