How to grow water lilies? Can they be grown in water?

1. How to plant

1. Time selection: There is no limited time for planting water lilies, because water lilies have no dormant period throughout the year, so they can be planted in all four seasons. As long as the water temperature can be maintained above 16 degrees Celsius, a good growth temperature can be guaranteed.

2. Seed selection: Select full seeds that are not affected by diseases and insect pests. Such seeds can increase the survival rate.

3. Process the seeds: The shell of water lily seeds is very hard. If it is not processed, water cannot penetrate into it, which will lead to failure to germinate normally. Distinguish the notch and convexity of the seed, and use pliers to cut a hole in the notch. If you don’t have pliers, you can place it on rough ground and grind a hole.

4. Soak in water to promote germination: prepare a container, put the seeds in it, and then add an appropriate amount of water. Keep the water temperature at around 20 degrees. Change the water once a day and give the seeds fresh water to facilitate germination. It will germinate in about a week.

5. Planting and adding water: prepare the flower pots, prepare suitable soil, add a certain amount of base fertilizer to the soil, fill it into the flower pots, then plant the seeds, add appropriate amount of water, and then place it in a sunny place.

2. Can it be kept in full water?

Water lilies can be grown in pure water, but they need to be regularly dripped with nutrient solution to maintain the nutrients needed for growth.
