What to do if the leaves of Kalanchoe turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of Kalanchoe turn yellow

1. No processing required

Reason: After the Kalanchoe has grown for a period of time, some yellow leaves will naturally appear due to metabolism, just like the leaves of many plants turn yellow in autumn.

Solution: We don’t need any special treatment at this time. Let it grow naturally and the yellow leaves will fall off by themselves. If you think the yellow leaves affect the appearance, you can cut them off.

2. Control watering

Reason: When growing Kalanchoe, you cannot water it too much at one time, otherwise the excess water cannot be absorbed in time and water will accumulate in the soil. Not only will stagnant water easily rot its roots, but it will also affect its absorption of oxygen, which will affect its efficiency in absorbing nutrients, causing the leaves to lack nutrients and turn yellow.

Solution: There are two specific methods. One is to move it to a ventilated place and raise the bottom of the flowerpot to allow the water in the soil to evaporate quickly. The other is to take it out of the soil and plant it in new soil without water accumulation.

3. Provide moderate shade

Reason: When the sunlight intensity is relatively high in summer, if the Kalanchoe is placed in the sun and scorched by the sun, its leaves will be sunburned and turn yellow.

Solution: First remove the yellow leaves, then move it to a place in the room where the sun cannot directly shine on it for maintenance, or use a shade net to block out some of the sunlight.
