What to do if the leaves of the ball orchid turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of the ball orchid turn yellow

1. Replace the flower pot:

Reason: If the flowerpot is too short, the roots of the Hoya will not develop well and its leaves may turn yellow.

Solution: When choosing a flower pot, try to choose a sandy pot. The flower pot should not be too large. Try to choose a taller one. Also, replace the appropriate flower pot according to the growth of the ball orchid.

2. Apply fertilizer appropriately:

Reason: The amount of fertilizer applied will seriously affect its growth. If the amount is too much or too little, it will easily cause its leaves to turn yellow.

Solution: Pay attention to the amount of fertilizer applied. If the amount of fertilizer applied is too much, you should reduce it appropriately. Conversely, if the amount of fertilizer applied is too little, you can increase it appropriately.

3. Appropriate amount of light:

Reason: Ball orchid prefers sunlight, but it cannot be exposed to sunlight for a long time, as this will cause great damage to the leaves. Long-term exposure to cool environment will also cause the leaves to turn yellow.

Solution: In summer, you can shade the ball orchid to reduce its light exposure, and in winter, you can place it in a sunny place for cultivation.

4. Reasonable watering:

Cause: Whether it is excessive watering or insufficient watering, it will cause the leaves of the ball orchid to turn yellow. Too much water for a long time will cause root rot, and being dry for a long time will cause it to dehydrate.

Solution: If you usually water a lot, you can loosen the soil appropriately and then reduce the amount of watering. If there is a lack of water, you can increase the humidity of the air to keep the soil moist at all times.
