Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of Jade Butterfly

Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of Jade Butterfly

1. Temperature discomfort

Reason: Jade butterfly likes to grow in a warm environment and is not cold-resistant. An environment with too high or too low temperature is not conducive to its growth. The most suitable growth temperature is between 18-25 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is too high, over 30 degrees, it will cause excessive water loss and turn the leaves yellow. If the temperature is too low, below 10 degrees, it will be frozen and the leaves will turn yellow.

Measures: If the temperature is too high and causes yellow leaves, you need to move it to a semi-shaded place with scattered light, spray some water to increase the humidity and lower the temperature. If the temperature is too low, move it to a warmer place indoors for maintenance, and measure whether the temperature is around 15 degrees.

2. Insufficient light

Reason: Jade butterflies like light. It is suitable for maintenance in a place with sufficient sunlight outdoors, or it can be placed in a place with good lighting indoors. Adequate light will promote its growth, while insufficient light will cause the plant to grow poorly and the leaves to turn yellow.

Measures: If there was not enough light in the previous maintenance environment, you can move it to a well-lit place indoors, so that there is no need for shading in the summer and it is also easy to maintain in the winter.

3. Too much water

Reason: Jade butterfly is drought-tolerant and does not like moisture. Therefore, there is no need to water frequently, nor is there a need to water too much at one time. If you water too much or there is too much water, it will not be able to absorb it all, which will burden the roots, affect its growth, and cause the leaves to turn yellow.

Measures: Stop watering and loosen the soil to allow excess water to flow out. Place it on a windowsill with good sunlight and ventilation to promote water evaporation. When watering, pay attention to controlling the amount of water and keep the soil half wet. In winter, the temperature is very low, so you should water less and try to keep the soil dry.
