Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of mountain roses

Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of mountain roses

1. Too much watering

1. Reason: Mountain rose is afraid of stagnant water and humid environment. If you water the plant too much and allow water to accumulate in the soil, its roots may be injured, resulting in yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: Be sure to control the amount of watering at ordinary times, turn over the soil in the pot appropriately, and then place it in a semi-shaded and well-ventilated place for maintenance for a period of time.

2. Strong light exposure

1. Reason: Mountain rose likes light, but cannot be exposed to the sun for a long time, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow or even wither.

2. Treatment method: When the sun is strong, it is best to move it to a cool and well-ventilated place for maintenance, and appropriate shading is also required. During routine maintenance, you need to pay attention to the light intensity so that you can provide shade or move the maintenance location in time.

3. Excessive fertilization

1. Reason: Mountain roses do not require much fertilizer. Generally, putting some granular slow-release fertilizer in the soil can meet its growth needs. During breeding, if you apply fertilizer to it frequently, it will not have time to absorb the fertilizer. Excess fertilizer will remain in the soil, damaging its root system and causing yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: If possible, try to remove it from the pot, clean it and then plant it in new soil. If you don’t want to change the soil, you can also use water to wash away excess fertilizer and then continue maintenance.

4. Normal dormancy period

1. Reason: Mountain rose will enter a dormant period at a high temperature of 30°C, and some plants will enter a dormant state at an environment of 20°C. It is in dormancy. The bottom leaves will turn yellow and dry up.

2. Treatment method: The dormant period is its normal growth state and does not require special treatment, only appropriate water control. Once its dormant period is over, it will return to normal.
