Causes and treatments for yellow aloe leaves

Causes and treatments for yellow aloe leaves

1. Excessive watering

1. Reason: Aloe vera needs sufficient water during maintenance, but if watered frequently, water will accumulate at the roots, damaging the root system of the plant, resulting in yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: First, stop watering immediately. Secondly, loosen the soil and place it in a well-ventilated place for a period of time. After it recovers, you can start watering it normally. Be careful to water when the soil is dry, and do not allow water to accumulate.

2. Too little fertilization

1. Reason: Aloe vera needs proper fertilizer during its growth period. If no fertilizer is applied for a long time, the plant will lack nutrients, causing the leaves to turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: First, apply fertilizer reasonably and replenish it with the necessary nutrients in time. After it returns to normal, you can apply fertilizer to it regularly. You can use some fermented bean cake or tofu dregs as fertilizer.

3. The temperature is too low

1. Reason: Aloe vera is suitable for growing in a warm environment. If it is kept in a low temperature environment for a long time, it is prone to frost damage, resulting in yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: We need to immediately move the aloe vera to a warm and well-ventilated place indoors for maintenance. In winter, its growth temperature must be at least 5℃.

4. Pest and disease damage

1. Reason: Diseases and pests of aloe vera can easily cause yellow spots on the leaves, resulting in yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: We should spray pesticides in time to kill them. If the area is too large, we can directly cut off the diseased and pest-infected areas to prevent infection.
