How to prevent chrysanthemum root rot

How to prevent chrysanthemum root rot

symptom

In the early stage of the disease, the leaves become lighter and yellower, wilt and droop, the base of the stem turns light brown, the vascular bundles of the branches extending upward gradually turn light brown, and extending downward causes the root bark to necrotize or turn black and rot. The base of the stems of some plants cracked, while the branches and leaves on one side of some plants turned yellow and shriveled or the roots rotted. The pathogen is Fusarium chrysanthemum, which has numerous small conidia that are clustered in pseudocapitates; large conidia that have 3 to 5 septa; thick-walled spores that are nearly spherical and are terminal, intercalary, solitary or in clusters.

law

The disease is prone to occur in environments with high temperature, heavy rain and high soil temperature, and is more likely to occur when the temperature reaches 27℃ to 32℃. Poor plant growth, poor soil drainage, and an abundance of underground pests and root-knot nematodes will increase the severity of wilt infection.

Prevention and treatment methods

Strengthen management

Water the plants appropriately, and try to avoid excessive moisture in the soil or water accumulation after rain; fertilize the plants appropriately, and it is recommended that families use decomposed organic fertilizers. In daily maintenance, ensure sufficient light and suitable temperature.

Drug detection

Before planting, disinfect the soil with soil bacteria and insect killer or 116 bacterial fertilizer. At the early stage of the disease, apply 500 times diluted 50% carbendazim wettable powder, 100 ml for each plant and irrigate the roots, apply once every 7 to 10 days, and use it two or three times in a row.
