What is the cause of cherry blossom root rot?

What is the cause of cherry blossom root rot?

1. Excessive watering

Reason: Frequent excessive watering of cherry blossoms will cause its roots to be soaked in water for a long time, unable to breathe smoothly, which will cause the roots to rot.

Solution: After the cherry blossoms mature, you can water them more often, but you must control the amount of water. Keep the soil dry and avoid water accumulation. It is not too late to water after the soil becomes dry. It is best to water thoroughly and do not stop when you have watered halfway.

2. Poor drainage of potting soil

Reason: If the pots for growing cherry blossoms do not drain or the soil has poor drainage, water will accumulate once excessive watering occurs, which can easily lead to root rot.

Solution: Replace the flower pots with holes and soil with good drainage. Also, check the holes of the flower pots regularly to see if they are blocked. If they are blocked, they must be dealt with promptly to avoid water accumulation and root rot.

3. High fertilizer concentration

Reason: Cherry blossoms do not like fertilizer. When fertilizing, be sure not to apply too concentrated fertilizer, or stir the fertilizer unevenly. Higher concentrations will cause leaves to fall and root rot.

Solution: Apply low-concentration fertilizer to it twice a year. Generally, acidic fertilizer is used as the main fertilizer. Fully decomposed organic fertilizer should be applied. Try to apply quick-acting fertilizer to it after the flowers fall.
