Types of pests and diseases

Let’s talk about sooty mold disease first. This disease mainly appears from March to May and can harm the leaves of plants. You can probably guess its harmful effects from the name, which is that it can cover the surface of plant leaves with a layer of powdery substance like black coal ash. If this continues for a long time, the entire leaf of the plant will be completely shaded and it will not be able to carry out photosynthesis. The consequences can be imagined, and the plant will naturally develop poorly.

Next, let’s talk about another pest and disease, which is snails. We are all familiar with snails and they are quite common. This pest usually hides on the back of the leaves of our plants, slowly eating the leaf flesh or stems, and even endangering the flowers. This kind of pest is very serious and may occur many times a year, which means it may occur in any period of time. And once it happens, it will harm plants over a large area in a very short period of time. Friends who have grown plants that have suffered from this kind of harm may know that it can often eat the entire plant to pieces in just one night.

Prevention and treatment methods

For this disease, the method we mainly adopt is spraying pesticides. We can choose 1,500 times the solution of 40% dimethoate emulsion for spraying prevention and control. However, the number of times should not be too many, one or two times will be enough.

For this kind of pest, we first need to observe the places where the pests often move, and then mix bran with pesticides and sprinkle them on these places to lure and kill the pests. We can also choose these two materials: quicklime and saturated salt water, and the method is the same as above. What needs attention is the hygiene of the surrounding area and the fallen leaves should be cleaned up in time.
