Disease control of hibiscus

Disease control of hibiscus

Hibiscus sooty mold

The occurrence of sooty mold has extremely serious harm to the leaves of hibiscus, causing the leaves and branches of hibiscus to gradually turn yellow and wither. During the disease period, many black powder layers will appear around the leaves of the plant. These powder layers seriously affect the beauty and ornamental value of the entire hibiscus.

Solution

Prune the hibiscus appropriately, keep it ventilated and well-lit, reduce the humidity of the surrounding environment, and spray lime sulfur during the plant's dormant period to eliminate the source of the disease for prevention and control. Aphids are a major factor causing sooty mold disease. Spraying 40% omethoate can reduce aphid excretion and prevent the occurrence of sooty mold disease.

Hibiscus brown spot

Hibiscus brown spot disease, like sooty mold, harms the leaves of the plant, causing the spots to appear brown, polygonal, and 3-10mm in size. When the surrounding moisture is heavy and the humidity is too high, a lot of dark brown velvety substances will grow on the back of the leaves. Diffuse masses with high morbidity.

Workaround

Discover the disease in the early stage and spray 500 times the solution of 50% carbendazim for prevention and control, about once every 1-2 weeks, and spray 2-3 times continuously.

Hibiscus leaf spot

Leaf spot disease also mainly occurs on the leaves of hibiscus. In the early stages of its disease, the leaves of the plant gradually turn yellow and slowly begin to wither and die. This disease will directly affect the beauty of the hibiscus.

Solution

The use of 65% Zineb powder has a good preventive and therapeutic effect on this type of disease. When leaf spot disease occurs, it should be sprayed thoroughly for prevention and control.
