Prevention and control of leaf softness and dehydration of Venus flytrap

What is the leaf dehydration disease of Venus flytrap?

Although the Venus flytrap is a light-loving plant, it also requires a humid growing environment. In summer, because the weather is hot and humid, the required water is not met and the light is too strong, which will cause the Venus flytrap to suffer from leaf softening and dehydration. In layman's terms, it can be said that it has heatstroke.

Solution to leaf dehydration and waterlogging

Stop exposing it to sunlight and watering it. Wait for 2-3 days for the substrate to dry naturally before watering again to control the amount of water. Choose to water in the evening or at night when it is cooler.

② Cut off the diseased leaves. If the situation is serious, you need to change the pot and pour out the substrate. Wait for the substrate to become loose naturally before using it.

③ Use some foliar fertilizer appropriately (it is best not to use)

Generally, the plant will recover on its own after a few days of observation. However, this is abnormal for plants with upright leaves in summer. Many people wonder why they were upright at first and suddenly became limp...
