How to grow red baby's breath potted plants

1. Breeding methods

1. Soil: For better growth of Gypsophila paniculata, loose soil is the best choice. Its roots need to breathe oxygen through loose soil, and alkaline soil is more suitable for its growth. Therefore, it is recommended that flower lovers choose lime or sandy and gravel soil when cultivating it.

2. Watering: It is a plant that has a relatively large demand for water, especially when it is forming flower buds, the amount of watering should be increased. Sufficient water can help its flowers bloom brightly and greatly extend its flowering period. Note: No stagnant water is allowed.

3. Temperature: A temperature of around 25°C can make it grow better. The mild ambient temperature allows it to be in a vigorous growth state, prompting it to absorb nutrients from the soil and the flowering period will become longer. Too high temperatures in the summer will cause it to become sluggish, while too low temperatures in the winter will cause it to enter a dormant period.

4. Fertilizer: If you want the plants to grow better and bloom longer, in addition to the right temperature, proper fertilization is also very important. Apply nitrogen fertilizer before it blooms. The effect will be better if nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are used together during the flowering period. It is best to fertilize once every half a month.

2. Pest and disease control

Compared with other plants, Gypsophila paniculata has relatively few diseases and insect pests, or basically no diseases and insect pests, because it grows relatively fast and takes a short time to mature. Most of the pests are aphids and red spiders, and the symptoms of the pests are similar. After discovering the pests, you can just remove the diseased branches. You can also prevent and control them by spraying 1000 times diluted 40% oxydemeton-methyl emulsifiable concentrate.
