What to do if the primroses wither

Primroses wither due to lack of water

Insufficient water is a common phenomenon in primrose cultivation. This is manifested in the leaves of the primrose turning yellow, becoming dull and lifeless, drooping and withering. There are two reasons for the wilting due to lack of water:

One is that due to the high temperature in summer, the air is too dry and the water evaporates rapidly, resulting in the plant being unable to supply water normally and causing dehydration and withering.

The second reason is that the potting soil lacks water. Each time the flowers are watered, the amount of water is too little, which only wets the surface of the potting soil but fails to penetrate the water and cannot penetrate into the bottom of the pot. Therefore, the lower roots cannot absorb water. Over time, the flowers wither because of lack of water.

Treatment

When the above two situations occur, water should be replenished in time, and more attention should be paid to observation in summer. Watering should be sufficient, but no water should accumulate. Keep the soil moist and keep the surrounding air humidity low for healthy growth of the plants.

Primrose diseases causing wilt

Due to the large change in seasons between winter and spring, primroses are attacked by diseases, which manifests as the leaves losing their original luster and vitality and becoming very soft. Then the lower leaves gradually wither and the disease finally spreads to the entire plant.

Treatment

Use Tujunno for sterilization and disinfection. If it is discovered in time and in the early stage of infection, it can be recovered in one day through treatment with Tujunno. If the infection time is too long and the petiole has begun to rot, the recovery period can be up to two weeks.

Fertilizing Primroses Causes Wilting

Flower lovers are so eager for primroses to bloom that they supply too much fertilizer and are too eager for quick results, causing the edges of the primrose leaves to turn yellow and the leaves to wither, which will eventually lead to the death of the leaves over time.

Treatment

If too much fertilizer is applied, water more to wash away excess fertilizer in the soil, or immediately repot and change the soil to allow the plant to gradually return to normal growth.
