The Bi Guang Huan withered in winter and summer. Is it dead?

Winter maintenance of Biguanghuan

When the temperature is too low in winter, it needs to be kept warm. Generally speaking, as long as the temperature is above 5 degrees Celsius, the green halo will not stop growing. Once the temperature drops below this, it should be brought back indoors for warm cultivation.

If the temperature is below 5℃ in winter, the plants will wither and enter a short dormancy. This situation usually occurs south of the Qinling Mountains and the Huai River. In the north, the plants can generally be moved to a heated room for cultivation. Discuss the necessity of heating in some southern regions from the perspective of Biguanghuan Breeding!

Summer maintenance of Biguanghuan

The green halo ring is a winter plant. Its growing season is in autumn, winter and spring, while summer is its dormant period.

During the dormant period, the originally tender green leaves of the green halo that look like rabbit ears will gradually turn yellow and finally wither. Many flower lovers thought that the plant was dead, so they used various methods to water and fertilize it to revive it.

In fact, this is all wrong. It is normal for the leaves of the Ringwort to wither during its dormant period in winter. Do not water it during the dormant period. Just place it in a shaded and well-ventilated location and let it grow naturally.

When it reaches the growing season in September, water it and it will naturally revive, and the iconic rabbit-ear leaves will slowly grow out.

The azure ring withers in winter and summer and is dormant

Therefore, flower lovers should pay attention. The withering of the Aglaonema in low temperature and high temperature environments in winter and summer is just dormancy, not death, so don't throw it away. The longer you grow it, the easier it will be to see the Green Halo Ring blooming!
