Phalaenopsis planting methods and precautions

When to plant Phalaenopsis

It is best to sow Phalaenopsis in spring. Since it comes from the tropics, its preferred growing environment is very similar to the tropical climate. In spring, everything comes back to life, the temperature rises, and the spring rains are continuous. This is a very suitable season for sowing, which allows it to grow better.

Phalaenopsis planting method

1. Germination treatment

There are many different ways to grow Phalaenopsis. Generally, it can be propagated by sowing all year round. Usually, the seeds can be sown directly into the soil. However, if the seeds are soaked in a carbendazim solution for 10 minutes and placed in a cool place to dry, the success rate of sowing can be increased.

2. Prepare the soil

Every time you use Phalaenopsis seeds for sowing and propagation, you must also prepare loose and breathable soil. Generally, you can use a mixture of garden soil, corn residue, peat, and bark to make potting soil. You can also add an appropriate amount of organic fertilizer. Such a mixed soil can make the seeds germinate quickly.

3. Seed planting

When planting Phalaenopsis, you first need to loosen the soil appropriately. You can also spray carbendazim on the soil, and then sow the seeds one centimeter deep in the soil. This can prevent the seeds from being harmed by diseases and insects during the germination process and allow them to take root and germinate better.

Phalaenopsis care and management

When caring for Phalaenopsis, you need to pay attention to the fact that there must be a suitable temperature environment at normal times, which can be kept at around 20 degrees. To avoid high temperatures in summer, it is necessary to cool down appropriately. In addition, there must be sufficient sunlight and enough moisture in normal times.
