Why don't lilies bloom?

Why don't lilies bloom?

Root problem

When growing lilies, you need to use lily bulbs. Generally, the better bulbs you buy are imported, but it is inevitable that you will buy cheap, low-quality bulbs, or very small bulbs.

Generally speaking, whether a lily blooms or not has a lot to do with its bulb. Good quality, larger bulbs full of nutrients are easier to bloom, while small bulbs of poor quality are difficult to bloom.

In addition, it is possible that the bulbs you purchased were damaged during transportation, resulting in bud loss and the inability to bloom.

Therefore, if you want to see beautiful flowers of lilies, the first step is to choose good bulbs.

Insufficient light

Light is a very important factor affecting plant growth, and it is also the main factor affecting plant flowering. When growing lilies, although it does not necessarily require full sunlight, a place that is too dark cannot meet the lilies' flowering needs.

Basically, in order for lilies to bloom normally, they need to be exposed to light for a certain period of time every day. When growing them indoors, they should not be kept too hidden for a long time. Supplementary light will allow the lilies to grow and bloom normally.

Elimination

In addition, sometimes lilies do not bloom, perhaps because of improper maintenance in the later stage, resulting in the bud disappearing. If the bud disappears, they naturally will not bloom.

It can be seen from this that later maintenance is also a very important stage.

Generally, if the lilies you cultivate fail to bloom, don't worry. If you take good care of them, they will bloom again the next year.
