What to do if the maiden heart drops leaves

What to do if the maiden heart drops leaves

Natural fall

Since Maiden Heart is a type of succulent in the Crassulaceae family, it is naturally the same as most succulents of the same type. As it grows, the leaves at the bottom close to the soil surface gradually wither and fall off, and the nutrients automatically pass through the bottom leaves and are transported to the new leaves at the top that are more needed. Therefore, some leaves at the bottom will gradually fall off. This is a natural state of leaf falling. Flower lovers do not need to panic too much. They just need to wait patiently for the withered leaves to dry up completely before picking them off.

Improper management

Flower lovers can observe the plant before determining the cause of leaf falling. If the leaves of the plant turn yellow as a whole and then gradually fall off, it is basically caused by overwatering or insufficient care. Faced with this situation, it is recommended that you immediately increase the care intensity of the maiden heart plant and reduce the frequency and amount of watering.

Nutritional deficiencies

If sufficient nutrition is not guaranteed during the critical period of leaf growth of Maiden Heart, it will also cause large-scale withering of Maiden Heart leaves. Because the malnutrition of the leaves themselves will naturally cause poor growth in the later stage, so flower lovers must pay attention to the timely and sufficient provision of nutrients during the leaf growth period of Maiden Heart, otherwise poor growth will affect the beauty of the plant.

The above is the experience I have summarized from some situations I encountered in cultivating maiden hearts. Now I share it with you, hoping that it can help maiden hearts that are losing leaves.
