What to do if the goldfish plant does not bloom

What to do if the goldfish plant does not bloom

1. Increase lighting

For the goldfish spider plant, sunlight is an essential factor in its growth process. While receiving light, the plant itself is also storing energy, and this plant needs plenty of sunlight before flowering to ensure normal flowering. Its flowering period is winter, so there is no need to worry about the roots being sunburned, and it can be placed in a sunny place around the clock. In this way, the flowers that bloom will not only be numerous but also very bright in color. But in the other three seasons, proper shading is required.

2. Increase Moisture

The goldfish plant will be dormant in winter, but only for a short period of time. It will bloom after this period of time. However, many people will reduce watering at this time. In fact, watering should be increased at this time. Just make sure there is no water accumulation in the pot and the temperature should be controlled at around 20 degrees. This will make it easier for it to bloom and it will bloom more fully. In addition to watering, you should also spray some water around the plant or on its leaves frequently. An overly dry environment will cause it to drop its leaves and affect its flowering.

3. Increase air circulation

The air circulation indoors in winter is relatively poor, which will have a certain impact on the flowering of this plant, especially when its flower buds are growing. If the air circulation is too poor, it will cause it to stop growing and eventually no flowers will bloom.

4. Increase nutrients

Many friends know to fertilize on time in the first year of growing flowers, but forget about it in the second year. When there is insufficient nutrients, the flower buds cannot grow normally. Increase the application of phosphorus fertilizer before flowering; but do not apply fertilizer during flowering.
