Gardenia blooms in spring and summer, with the main flowering period being in summer, roughly from May to July. It sometimes starts to bloom around March in spring, and the flowering period is also very long, almost up to 5 months. If you take better care of it during the flowering period, the flowering period may last longer.

Its flowers are white and lightly scented, with pedicels 3-5mm long. Its style is very thick, about 4cm long, and the ovary is yellow. Its corolla is white or creamy yellow, in the shape of a high-footed saucer, with very sparse soft hairs on the throat.

3. Methods to prolong flowering period

If you want to extend its flowering time, you need to adjust the temperature within an appropriate range. If it grows between 16-18℃, the flowering period can be appropriately extended. And water reasonably, try to keep the soil moist, but do not allow water to accumulate. The light should not be too strong. When the sunlight becomes stronger, appropriate shading should be provided.
